{30 weeks}

We had an eventful couple of weeks over here!

How far along? 30 weeks and yes this is the best pic I could get this week, the face is because this pic is from a text I sent my husband asking if he liked the outfit or not. 😀  He did.

Total weight gain/loss: 23 pounds! They say that's right on track, sounds like a lot to me, considering I gained 25 w/ Landon. 

Maternity clothes? Just a pair of cropped pants and jeans. The rest I am pretty much working with that is non maternity. 

Stretch marks? no 

Sleep: awful. Landon crawled out of his crib this weekend for the first time. Holy hot mess. Mike put him in the crib on Saturday night and 3 minutes later he's opening the door to our room at my in-laws...I said "Hi buddy, what are you doing?" And then "Mike did you put him in his crib....?" His answer was "Yes...." Then on Sunday he crawled out of his pack and play twice. Plus he's boycotting naps on the weekend...sweet!

Best moment this week: definitely celebrating our BIG 2 year old! I plan to have a separate post just for Landon's birthday party! It was so so fun! He loved it! I can't believe he only has 10 or less weeks of being an only child. It kind of makes me sad because he's still my baby.   

This week I also ordered some cute clothes for my girl that I've been eyeing...for some reason my BabyGap and Old Navy cart is always loaded up. I add and delete things constantly until

it's the perfect combo of things I love and the perfect sale going on! Well I definitely hit the jackpot this past week! I got all this stuff for our little for $38, including shipping and tax! It shakes out to be about $5 per item. Crazy! I have been all googly eyes about the kite top and marled gray sweatshirt FOR-EV-ER! They were just never on super sale like this! That sweatshirt was literally $5.99 I bought it in 12-18 months. The cutie kite top was $7 & I bought it in 18-24 months. Picture it with dark skinnies and flats. Swoon! The rest are just some necessities for her first couple of months which I have learned are all about comfort. Once they start walking, cute clothes look so much cuter, but we are definitely going for comfort with her the first months. I love these striped leggings and little graphic socks (both ON) and those BabyGap sleepsacks were a must for her first 3 months! Loved these with Landon :) but in blue.

Miss Anything? Maybe fitting into the cute summer clothes that I love so much :( they just don't look as cute on a 30 weeks pregnant lady! The outfit at the top is the outfit I picked out for Landon's party. The shorts are size s and NOT maternity, just totally unzipped on the side. The shirt covered it. I'm hoping and praying these fit after baby because they are high waisted and too cute! I will not buy any maternity! That's a promise ;)

Movement: Yes, all over the place this girl is. She still feels lower than Landon. I think he was all up in my rib cage at this

point. 

Food cravings: Cheetos - healthy I know. I am lately obsessed with them! 

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Gender: Girl!

Symptoms: Tired. Beyond exhausted.  So much more tired this time around. I'm going to a bachelorette party this weekend that's being held at my mom's condo at the lake. I'm looking forward to sleeping and more sleeping....and of course soaking up some sun..

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! I can't wait until our family is a family of 4 and for Landon to be a big brother and my husband to have a daughter. They will both be so sweet with her. I just know it!

Looking forward to: Closing on our house. Seriously, so ready. We have had some rough waters lately with our builder over the details, and we are just ready for the process to be done and to have our home. We can not wait until the day it is officially ours! 1 Month and 2 weeks away (hopefully....) and this weekend at the lake some fun and sun with my best girlfriends :) 

{2 year old Landonisms}

How is my sweet 9 pounder 2?! Really, where does the time go? This child has so much personality and I wanted to do a little post about my baby, so I don't forget any of the cute and sweet things he does right at this moment: 

When you tell Landon to come upstairs or to come over here. He always yells, "Okay, I comin'!"

"Me-cine , ban-aid" {medicine/bandaid} is always what he says when he gets a bug bite or a little scraped knee. It cracks us up!

When he is picked up from the floor, he always acts like it's such hard work for HIM and says "Hea-vee" (heavy)

When mommy or daddy or both are at work he says "Daddy work? Mama work?". If people are just gone he says "Mama bye bye?"

Sometimes he screams for "Mok" {milk} and I will get him some, but I make him say the magic word first. He always does, I think it is so sweet that in his moment of impatience and demanding behavior, he stops to say "peeese" in his little voice. 

One of my favorite things my baby says is "Hi baby, I wuv you" with emphasis on the "wuv" because that's what I say to him. 

Typically if he says "Mommy" normally what follows is "I wuv you" with a kiss and a hug. He is our very affectionate baby. 

On this same note, he loves when mommy and daddy kiss. Almost every Sunday at church, we get chuckles from

the churchgoers behind us, because he

will grab both Mike and I around the neck and hug us and then push us together to kiss... :) 

Sometimes he will just stop what he's doing to give us a kiss - kissy sound and all - on a shoulder or my head or my arm or leg. It's seriously the sweetest thing ever. 

Landon being messed with - one day he had a Dr.'s appt and a haircut in the same day. It was a hot mess...

Rides his little tricycle or "psycho" with a Chiefs helmet on & making a motorcycle sound.

He is going to have such high self esteem too! Mike always says "You're intelligent!" To which he responds "I tew-o-gent" Mike: "You're a chick magnet" Landon: "I a tick maggot" Mike: "You're handsome!" Landon: "I hand-om" 

When someone asks him his sisters name he says her first and middle, and when he is asked his name he says "I Nannon" with such excitement and points to his chest. It's the sweetest!

He also says "I Two" when asked how old he is! 

My father-in-law calls him a child prodigy,

because he knows all the letters in the alphabet. He doesn't know them in order, but he can tell you any letter you point to. I have to admit, we are pretty impressed by it too! I think it is due to the Endless ABCs app - which is really one of the few we will let him play.

{28 weeks}

How far along? 28 weeks & now into the 3rd trimester! Crazy!

Total weight gain/loss: officially 18 lbs. The doctor said that's good weight gain, he wants to see me gain 30 total. I think I only gained 25 with Landon. I'm kind of thinking it will be less with her. She seems to be a bit tinier.

Maternity clothes? Currently sporting many many dresses and leggings :) and swimsuits for this already hot mama at the pool and this weekend at the LAKE!

Stretch marks? no 

Sleep: Pretty bad lately. This little lady in my belly loves dancing through the night. I especially remember the time 3:34 because it seems like I am ALWAYS up at that time looking at the clock.

Best moment this week: Our house is really coming along. I posted a couple pics on Facebook and Instagram but I'll post some more here. This is a best moment because we are ready to move into our own space! 

Less than 2 months *fingers crosssed*. Here are some photos I snapped from the other day. They are doing an awesome job and the wallboard just went up!

We met with the carpet/tile guy on Sunday after a church and a Starbucks run for my Venti Very Hibiscus Refresher and made those choices! I am very excited to see all of our selections in place. I picked the subway tile backsplash! On the way to a perfect little kitchen :) this is our granite with the subway tile backsplash. We chose a high traffic carpet for the stairs which I think will be a really good choice for a growing family!

Also, I've made some purchases for the littles rooms. Little girls room got the addition of these beyond CUTE books.

And my sweet Landon's room will have this picture of him which makes my heart swell...love that boy more than words.

I also did a little DIY embroidery for his room one night this past week. It turned out really cute! 

We had an appointment this morning with the OBGYN. I noticed a lot of pregnant ladies there without their mates, I was thinking about it and I feel so blessed that my husband has never missed an appointment for either one of our children. Not one! He is awesome! 

I took my glucose test (fun!) and we had a sonogram at the same appointment to see if my placenta had moved up. I'm happy to say it has! It is where it needs to be for a natural delivery now! Praise GOD! I have been praying for Him to do what he thinks is best for us.  Naturally, I want to deliver again & not have a c-section. Unless something crazy happens, of course, we will plan for a natural delivery!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy - I really do love being pregnant. I'm sure that statement scares my husband, but for the most part, I feel pretty good and at peace when I'm pregnant. I love all the kicks and questions and belly rubs I get. I even love the waddle that I now have! It's a very exciting time. Of course, I also can't wait for little miss to get here either. 

Looking forward to: This coming weekend! My baby turns TWO! What?! I can't wait to celebrate at the lake for the 4th of July & then at a backyard BBQ for him the next weekend with all of our family and friends! It'll be complete with paper food trays, hot dogs, chips ice pops, and watermelon on a stick! Just the way a summer BBQ should be!

Did someone say SUMMER? Love that at least one of my children will have a summer birthday! They are so fun and there's so much you can do outside this time of year. Hopefully the weather outside is just like it was today! 

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July everyone! I hope you get to enjoy some Bomb Pops, sparklers, pool/lake time, BBQ and watermelon! 

{new home: the kitchen}

Our kitchen is really progressing as far as decision making goes! It's very exciting to build what we want and just go to meetings to choose. My husband sort of let me take the reins on the kitchen decisions. We are certainly on our way to having the kitchen I see in my mind. Some things that we have chosen this far include:

Paint - we chose one paint and one trim color for the house. Sherwin Williams Alabaster for the trim & kitchen cabinets, Repose Gray for the wall color. 

Cabinet style - 

We chose this style of cabinet because it was right in between the two extremes. Not totally square shaker style & not overly decorative. I love the simplistic style of them. I think they will look just perfect!

Pulls - 

For the handles, they offered JUST what I wanted! I was very excited about that! We chose the bottom right ones in silver and in the kitchen and the rest of the vanities/cabinets throughout the house will be a very dark stain so we chose the dark handles in the same size for those, to be consistent. 

Crown molding - 

We are going for a very clean and crisp look in the kitchen. The crown molding on top of the cabinets will stay consistent with that look. We chose the 2nd from the top because it is simple but with some presence to it.

Countertops - 

We just recently picked the granite out & my husband left this decision to me. I must say, I was on the fence. These were our 2 finalists - granite and Carrara marble:

After much thought and consideration, we chose the granite on the left. With 2 children and 2 coffee and wine drinkers we just didn't think marble would be a good option for us in the long run. Granite is much less maintence than marble and I don't think I would be able to be neurotic about keeping the marble free of wine/coffee/tomatos/juice. We won't have to worry about this with the granite. We did choose the lightest option that was offered to us. This is the granite on top of Landon's crib, which is basically the same color that we chose for all the trim in our home. I ultimately think we will not regret this decision. Low maintenance is good for a growing family :)

We chose a more contemporary square edge for the countertops, and a dark sink (even with a light kitchen I like a dark sink better than stainless steel or white because it doesn't show as much) with one side that's bigger than the other for extra large dishes and pans. Yay! 

Keeping with the rest of the house {entry/bathroom/breakfast nook} the floors will be a dark walnut too.

I think the only other things to pick out are the backsplash - I'm thinking something like subway tile & the appliances 

{26 weeks}

          T-shirt {similar} / necklace / nail polish

How far along? 26 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: I would say about 15 lbs. 

Maternity clothes? A couple of cropped maternity pants but not any shirts yet. I try to wear my maxis & leggings most of the time of course, just due to comfort reasons.

Stretch marks? No, I was totally rocking the 2 piece in Florida. No chance of me buying a maternity suit & hopefully I don't get any stretch marks either!

Sleep: Feeling exhausted, but as stated on Instagram, I am so SO thankful for my amazing husband. I won the husband lottery. Seriously. He is such a great and supportive husband and father. We went to the park with Landon in his PJs the other night when we got home from the airport. I watched my husband chase Landon around for an hour. If you know my son, then you know he NEVER sits still. 

My husband is a saint, and he totally gets why I'm so tired and never says a word about it. He also comes home with chocolate for mommy ;)

Best moment this week: We got a free 3-D sonogram from our OB office & so we took advantage of that today! We got to see our sweetie pie's face, I would say that was the best moment this week. Here's some sneaks at the little lady :)

Of course, any time spent with my boys is the best as well, as our time as a family of 3 is winding down. 

My Landon LOVES his baby sister already. I'm going to try to get a video of it, but he talks to her and kisses and hugs her. He is already so in love, I imagine he will be over the moon when she arrives...or the complete opposite?

On Sunday, we celebrated my husband, father, father-in-laws and all the other great dads! Saturday night we grilled at my brother-in-laws (my dad and other FIL were both out of town). On Sunday, it was all about MIKE! He is the most natural dad in the world & there really are no words to describe his co-parenting. He's amazing! We went to a late lunch and had a large pizza at Stone Canyon while he watched the Royals and the World Cup :)

Miss Anything? Sleep? Yes. What little energy I have left is slowly dwindling as the weeks press on...

Movement: Yes, definite rolls and big kicks! I was talking to my friend, Lindsey, in my office the other day. And I put my hand on my belly where she was kicking me. I stopped and Lindsey actually saw a huge kick from across my desk! I love this feeling. It's like their first communication with you as a mother and them telling you 'Hey, mom, I'm doing ok in here' 

Food cravings: Applesauce is a big one as of late, or as Landon calls it "Ass Sauce"....I see the similarity..Anyway, I never use a spoon when eating Applesauce, but only when it's in the little individual cup. I prefer to drink it like a drink. Weird, I know, but I've been doing that for years now. It tastes better that way, promise! Also, suddenly I'm all about Kool Aid too. I make it, so yes I know how much sugar goes into it, but have you tried the Cherry Limeade one?! I am typically a water and milk girl, but this time around, it's sweet drinks I love & iced tea ;)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Gender: GIRL....still a girl, folks!

Symptoms: Back pain, already feeling some pressure, she must be sitting directly on top of my bladder....

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY - we have a lot going on right now, and our vacation was some much needed time away. I am feeling refreshed and relaxed! 

Looking forward to: Another sono on July 2nd. I have a low posterior placenta (had low anterior with Landon) It's typically diagnosed at the 20 week checkup & is rechecked at around 28 weeks. Chances are, it will move up, but if it doesn't then a C-Section it is! 

Luckily, with Landon it moved up so I could deliver naturally, hopefully with her it does too! We will see. I will say, my mindset is that whatever gets her into this world safely, is what I'm fine with. If a C-Section is the worst thing, then I'm doing ok :) 

Next check in at 28 weeks! 

{decorating overdrive}

Happy Friday, people! We made it through another week! 

As you can probably guess, planning a big boy room and a little girls nursery and a whole entire house has put my mind in decorating overdrive! So many ideas floating around in my head and the majority of them are DIY! 

As I mentioned in previous posts, my decorating sense has really evolved over the last year and I think it is due to Pinterest and Instagram. Its cool to see all the different styles and I really think I've found my true decorating style. Modern and clean with touches of pretty and color :) I have started a couple of lists mostly for me to keep track of where I'm at and what still needs to be done, because I can't visualize it in the actual rooms just yet.

It is so thrilling to have everything purchased and ready to go and then just put everything in its place when move in time comes! It definetly puts my mind at ease to have everything ready as well. Each of the kids rooms will be a labor of love, and that makes me so over the moon happy! 

Here is a little inspiration board that I created to keep me in check for Landidoodle's BIG boy room! He has started saying "I BIIIG" You are big buddy, and we want you to stay little!

I literally buy those white Target matted frames up above every. single. time. I see one.  Not kidding, I am using 3 in our bedroom over the bed, 2-3 in baby girls bedroom, and 2 in Landon's room.  Yes, that equals 8 and I'll probably get more for the living room and the kitchen too.....I'm officially obsessed! They are only around $16 for an 8x10 matted frame and about $13 for a 5x7, not including the discount I always use.  Normally they are 15% off on the Cartwheel app {which I LOOVE}

{24 weeks}

How far along? 24 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Around 10 lbs or so. Will have a better update at the 26 week post

Maternity clothes? Maxi dresses and swimsuits lately. We are currently in Florida at my moms place :)

Stretch marks? no 

Sleep: just ok.

Best moment this week: knowing that we still have a week left in paradise!

Miss Anything? Some tropical beachy drinks that I can't have, I settled for my mango lemonade today....and some iced macaroon coffee {full post from our upcoming week in Florida coming in the near future}

Movement: Yes, she kicks me in the ribs....already.

Food cravings: chips and dip & iced tea.
