After working in the yard/garden all day! Baby Bozarth is going to have a GREEN THUMB!

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: The dr. said I had gained only 13 lbs :) and 3 lbs. 4 oz is baby! He is measuring big.  The sono tech asked us if either of us were big babies....Uh Oh....... She said he is in the 68 percentile for growth.  Wow! He's a grower! Head and belly are measuring ahead to 30 weeks and legs measuring right on track at 29 weeks. He looked so sweet and cozy in there and was rubbing his eyes.  Tired boy.
Maternity clothes? not too many.  I own one pair of maternity skinny jeans that I love.  My co-worker on Friday said "How the heck are you still wearing skinny jeans...?" I had to laugh because they are my only maternity jeans and the only jeans that really fit without using the hair tie trick. 
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: Sleeping well, but still tired.
Best moment this week: I feel like we are getting so close to meeting our baby! Stroller ready to go and we finally got it on Friday! {SEE THAT POST HERE}, car seats are ready to go, nursery almost ready to go! I'm excited! Mama also did some shopping for herself yesterday.  It's about time.  I now have my dresses for both showers, and bought some clothes {not maternity} that I can wear now and later.  I bought this peach shirt that is just beautiful!  
My mama and I also did some gardening/planting this weekend, which I love! After about $100 of plants and things {her and I both} we made some progress.  So pretty!

And as cheesy as it sounds, yesterday when I woke up I felt an overwhelming thankfulness for my husband and my puppy and our home and everything that we have been blessed with.   I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
Miss Anything? Wine :( Sangria - Mike and I had a date night at Lidia's by Union Station on Saturday night.  Everyone was drinking all sorts of yumminess..... :( The food was delish as always.  We got a pic of us just because I feel like we never get dressed up much anymore.  It was so much fun!

Movement: Oh yes, it was funny to see the sonogram and see where all the movement I feel is coming from. His butt is right up under my right rib cage, his little piggies are on my left side and his head is down.
Food cravings: Mac & Cheese, potatoes, SWEETS! As always my biggest weakness is sweets.  Mike made fun of me at dinner because I barely ate my meal, he said I was subconsciously saving room for dessert {which I did ironically eat all of.... }

Can't live without my tiramisu and decaf coffee. I mean baby B cant.......

Labor Signs: No, I was getting some pain yesterday but it quickly passed.

Looking forward to: Next weekend, just because it's the weekend...and my baby showers! May 5th - family and family friends and May 19th my friends shower. 

{fall around our home & mantle reveal}

Two posts in 2 days...what?! I'm gettin' good at this whole blogging thing! The best part of this post is at the bottom...so I'll be ok with you scrolling alllll the way down and then coming back up...just sayin.

My all-time favorite season is here! It's so cozy and the food is hearty and yummy, and the clothes are cute and comfy, and the weather is just perfect!! It's after the extreme heat and before the extreme cold that we get here in Kansas City. And of course, next weekend we get to take our annual family Christmas picture!

In honor of the season, and because we went to get our pumpkins punkins and mums Saturday, I decided to post some fun, festive fall stuff around our home:

And I can't forget our beautiful mum! My hubby kindly planted it for me :) It just isn't fall without a mum or two!

Those are just some pics I took of things that remind me of fall....Here is our very simple but oh-so fall mantle for this year.  I like decorating like this because it will transition from the beginning of fall through Halloween to Thanksgiving.  My best friend and I were shopping for pumpkins yesterday and she said something about soaking them in some sort of a bleach mixture and they will last longer.  I didn't have the time but what a great idea! Maybe next year, we will see how long they last........for now I am positively LOVING our fall mantle!

Hey you guuuuyyys, 

Name the movie you get a cookie.  I'm so excited today! Over the last couple of weeks I have been going crazy trying to pick a color for our kitchen.  Well it turns out "Wood Smoke" by Glidden was my number one choice.  As I was blogging around this past freezingicecolddreary weekend, I found a little post that said something to the effect of, "Glidden giving away 200,000 free quarts of paint on May 16 at midnight" Uhmmm rewind, WHAT? Nothing comes free anymore.  Here is a little preview of my new favorite paint on a wall in a fellow blogger's home, she literally did a whole post on this color right here.

 It's the perfect neutral for the kitchen! So, I did a little more research, and set my alarm (yes I go to sleep before midnight on a work night) for midnight.  Well obviously their website was WAY overwhelmed with all the traffic.  I think it crashed.  People were mad.  I figured whatever, the worst that happens is I have to $buy$ some...I tried one more time before I went to sleep, and PRESTO! It worked! I got my quart of Wood Smoke.  All I'll have to buy is some primer and possibly a little extra paint.  I do think these 2 quarts will color all the kitchen but we will see. Yay! I made my mommy get one too for me (one per household rule), just in case.  I can't wait to get the ball rolling on my kitchen.  I'm beyond sick of the brick red we have in there now.  This color is going to lighten it up so much and we really get so much natural light in there anyway.  I'm going to paint the trim white eventually as well.  

I got to thinking all dark on the cabinets now (my mind changes more than the weather here in KC) and just get glass put in some of the doors probably the ones I had taken off but didn't love that look...

Speaking of open cabinets.  I'm beyond frustrated with the dishes we had on our registry at BB&B for our wedding.  The manager is going to hear from me soon.  Almost every. single. one. is chipped.  It's annoying.  So I went and bought 12 new place settings on our one year anniversary.  Happy Anniversary to us! Who says paper is the gift for your one year anniversary?  I went with porcelain. Well, we got each other cards so I guess those count.  Anyway, I'm in love with these little beaded plates.  I read every single review online and everyone loves them.  Milky white, durable, classic, and so stinkin' cute.  Why didn't we register for these to begin with? Sad face... They will look too cute behind some glass cabinet doors.  Sorry about all the bad pictures in this post. All were taken with my iPhone...at night...When will I learn?

In other exciting news, I finally decided where we're going to buy our deck furniture cushions. BALLARD DESIGNS!!  I've been getting their catalog for about a year and a half.  If you are not getting their catalog, you need to! You're missing out... Here's a picture of all the options by way of outdoor cushions. I don't want to compromise on these because we aren't getting new furniture for a while, so I'm convinced we should reward ourselves with eye-candy cushions.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

They put way too many pretty fabrics together on one page.  How does a girl ever decide?  Help me! I'm torn between: (I would mix patterns and solids, patterns on table chairs and solids on lounge chairs and chaise) Arden Spa & Spa, Arden Black & sand, Ikat medallion & green, OR brown canopy stripe & brown... Oh, boy this is going to be tough.  If you have an opinion please don't hesitate to let me know.  I'll take all the help I can get!

We have a very busy weekend ahead of us!  Our friends are getting married in St. Joe this weekend and we're headed to the Royals vs. Cards game Sunday...did you see the game 2 nights ago? Pathetic, really. I hope they can pull it together.  I don't want to waste my Sunday for a loss...

{Fallin' in Love}

The iron posts were dropped off on our doorstop from Lowe's on last Wednesday; the finishing touches! It's official, we have a MUCH cooler deck! We have been looking so forward to this deck being finished, and it's finally there!  Here are some updated photos that will give you an idea of just how far we've come! Very exciting, indeed!

Please, don't worry, more to come.  We decided to keep the same outdoor furniture for a while and just get new cushions.  We really liked a pattern at Home Goods, but I didn't want to settle...you know me.  I wanted to look around some more.  We need 8 cushions total! 1 chaise lounge, 6 lounge chairs and one bench/loveseat cushion.  They don't necessarily have to match, just blend. I really am going to look at Pottery Barn too.  I always am a fan of the 'classic stripe' and I know they have some outdoor cushions in that pattern....*sigh*

While all of this deck business was finishing up, I was falling in love.  With an artist.  Her name is Katie Daisy.  *sigh* I'm going buy two prints from her website once I make up my mind. I love the messages in the prints, and I just love the feeling these prints give me.  So inspiring! When I first came across her on another blog, my heart really, no really, went pitter-patter {do you think I should get that checked out?}  Be still, my Katie Daisy-lovin' heart, be still.

I can not decide which ones to buy! I'm thinking I love the Rumi quote one {Let the beauty you love be what you do}, and the Ralph Waldo Emerson one {Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air}. I mean don't they make you happy just hearing them?

Do these prints 'fit' with our decor? Nope not really.  We're more Pottery Barn-esque over here.  I normally have two standards for anything that steps foot in our house {decor, not people...although I guess these qualifications would work for people too}: it must have a 'place' and we must LOVE it.  If we say 'no' to one of those things, no dice.  These prints met 50% but that was still passing for me, I would say it was closer an 80% because all the love {on my part} made up for them not having a 'place'. 

These prints just cheer me right up and I know every morning before I go to work or if I'm getting ready to enjoy the day with my hubby, these will automatically put a smile on my face when walking past! {Decked Out}

Well, not yet! I. CAN. NOT. WAIT. until this deck is complete.  It's going to be AMAZING!  The building happened last weekend, it will continue this coming Saturday and possibly into the next weekend.  We thought we'd be nice and give him Easter off.  Just kidding, he told us he wouldn't be working on Easter.  I didn't expect him to, there's way to much candy to eat on that holiday for anyone to be spending it building a deck.  Here are some pictures of the progress:



This is the cute little before.  Pardon the terrible weeds and random branches.  We didn't keep up our yard/landscaping very well during the fall and winter.



This was the 1st day.  We added on to our existing deck for now.  The last part he will tear off is the existing deck to match the rest of the wood and wood posts.

You can see in the picture below how small the old deck was compared to the new deck {the lighter wood obvi}  SO MUCH BIGGER! We will have 2 levels and the bottom step. 

End of Day Two. Progress! My favorite word!

This deck is going to be HUGE! Yess!



We are constantly entertaining over here.  We always hang out on the deck with people crammed into every corner of that 8x10 space.  Now we can   s p r e a d    o u t   quite a bit.  So, here's what I have envisioned for the deck.  First, we (and by we I mean Mike) will be staining/painting the deck.  We really can't decide.  He wants to paint and I want to stain. So opinionated....him not me...moving on. 

After that bridge has been crossed, we will concentrate on some sa-weet patio furniture.

Before our builder was even finished with the first day, this girl {me} was checking out some patio furniture.  I got very excited looking at all the selection that is out there! I first went to NFM online.  They are pretty proud... $800 for a basic bistro {which is a mini table and 2 chairs}!! And that was the cheapest one I found that I liked.  Pssshhht.  A flippin' bistro for $800?!Who do I need to talk to about this?  {that's what I say to Mike when I don't agree with something. Ex. When he said football's season would be longer, I said "Who do I need to talk to about this?" His answer, "the commissioner".  You get the idea}

 We have never bought outdoor patio furniture before.  We got some hand-me-downs that are still in pretty good shape from before we were married.  We could just still use those, but we are looking for something more substantial that will fill some major space *because we have some now tehehe* 

This is what 'they' call a 'conversation set'.  Whatever they call it I want one.  We were talking about getting a set like this.  I love the detail in the back of the chairs/love seat.  I wish I could show you a zoomed in picture.  The reviews on this set said that the color looks way more sage than lime green as the picture shows.  To be honest, I would be fine with either.  I love the set THAT much.  {Sage is more appealing to me though}

I'm thinking this set on the lower tier of the deck...with a fire pit!

This is the matching dining set.  How much do you love it!!?!? I need this set bad! I'm definitely thinking a 7-piecer.  Yeah, I just said piecer...and spell-check just corrected me on it.  This table would go on the upper tier along with the grill.

Well, there's all of my exciting news on the deck situation! How fun was that?

My lavender sprouted up about a week ago and now has little tiny leaves on it!!

Stay tuned to see what I do with this wood.  My Uncle Ed tore down an old farm on his property in Liberty and saved lots of barn wood for my mom and I! Cool right? I have something in mind, but we'll see.  I need to think about how I will do it...

My sweet hubs and I are SO looking forward to spending this weekend together and with all our family, going to church and just spending time together.  Saturday, we're going to my favorite antique store {River Market Antiques} to search for a bench.  My mom and brother said they saw some there this past weekend, and since I heard that I've been itching to go!

The next weekend, we have a bachelorette/bachelor party.  One of our favorite couples!  Girls are going to Hermann, Missouri on a train to hit up the wineries and guys are going golfing and relaxing at Lake of the Ozarks.  It will be so fun!  We will see how many of our upcoming projects can be completed before then.  I'm guessing not many.
