{14 weeks}

How far along? 14 weeks 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: have not had a minute to weigh myself. Still in the moving process! That scale could literally be a.n.y.w.h.e.r.e......
Maternity clothes? Contemplating bringing them out. If I can find them....
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: normal.
Best moment this week: nightmare week. Long story short we were supposed to close on our house, had a pretty major leak from our ice maker valve that didn't get fully turned off when the refrigerator was moved out. Resulted in an insurance claim the day before closing. Needless to say that was probably the worst moment this week. Oh you wanted best moment? Hanging out with my Landon & my husband! They are my rock and my lifesavers.
Miss Anything? Beer - needed some this week. Bad!
Movement: 98% sure I felt him or her!
Food cravings: Hamburgers and French fries, monte cristo sandwiches are my latest obsession. Peanut butter pretzels, I could go on an on. I typically LOVE fruit, but I am having a very difficult time getting it down lately. Watermelon and blueberries in yogurt seem to do the trick for now.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not much. Really feeling good. I do get to be starving before bed & normally a piece of toast and some mostly pulp OJ will do the trick.
Gender: I don't know or care, I want my baby to be happy and healthy!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Just this growing belly!
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: I think I'll go with stressed this week. Can that be my answer?
Looking forward to: This week being over.  I am ready to be done with this house business! Seriously! Also, the nice weather this weekend & heading to Wonderscope!

{summer dreaming}

On days like today, snowing and cold, I'm trying to remember that in about 2 months we will be reinacting these photos, but with a baby bump on me & minus the drinking of course (sad face)

{lets start at the beginning} baby #2

I found out I was pregnant after taking 2 negatives the prior week.  Then I spotted my old "negative" in the trash, and, after throwing it out as a negative, noticed that it now said positive about 30 minutes later.  On the box it said "Do not read results after 10 minutes".  So I of course waited until the morning and took another.  This morning turned out very similar to the time we found out we were pregnant with Landon.  A scream and some blissful moments of excitement before we dozed back off to dreamland and dreamed of having 2 little lovies instead of 1 :) I couldn't help but feel so excited for our little family of 3 to grow to 4!

This pregnancy started out very differently than my last.  Without going into much detail, it just feels different.  Some of the things that happened right out of the gate with Landon have yet to happen with this one. Only the coming weeks will tell.

How far along? 4 weeks on January 12th
Total weight gain/loss: not sure.  Have not weighed in in a looooooong time. But I have had a hard time gaining weight since Landon was born, so I'm praying I at least gain 25 lbs with this one.
Maternity clothes? nope

Stretch marks? nope - oh I need to bring out my Mother's Friend again!
Sleep: Sleep, ahh.  With my last pregnancy I was not really tired in the first trimester.  With this one, I sit at work and literally daydream about my bed.
Best moment this week: Finding out we're pregnant, of course!
Miss Anything? Beer & wine

Movement: I swear I feel it, but it's still too early, it can't be......I love that feeling & miss it!
Food cravings: Nothing sweet, so totally different than Landon's pregnancy.  Nothing really stands out, but definetly not craving sweets.  More veggies {mostly potatoes} and meat.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not yet - it was about the 6 week mark last time. So I'm just waiting....
Gender: Mike thinks girl, I think boy.  Partially because we already have a boy name picked  out and after I took the test, I asked Landon if he was ready to have a baby brother...to which Mike added "....or sister" :)
Labor Signs: No way!

Symptoms: Other than being tired and taking potty breaks more often, no. Both are still different when I was pregnant with Landon  Also, I am very very thirsty this time around!
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: More moody and emotional with this pregnancy.  I found myself crying over nothing 2 nights ago.  My mom doesn't know I'm pregnant, so she thinks I'm a crazy....I would like to say that I have been perfect and not moody, but it seems I can bite anyone's head off these days....yikes!
Looking forward to: This weekend we are going to the lake and then Monday, Mike and I both took a 1/2 day and took Tuesday off and we are going to stay in Lawrence for the KU game.  It should be a fun little getaway :) In the distant future, I'm looking forward to telling our friends and family and we ordered Landon a Big Brother shirt to tell them :) Should be here any day now....Also, 1st Dr. appointment is scheduled on Feb 17th at 9:30! I'm sort of sad because they said we can't take Landon :( But he's the big brother... He needs to be there to see his baby for the first time {kind of surprised that I didn't cry when they told me that, with how emotional I've been}

How far along? 6 weeks - and yes, I am already showing.....thank you for pointing that out :)
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure
Maternity clothes? No, although my pants are alllrready feeling a little...tight.

Stretch marks? No, I whipped out my Mother's Friend again.
Sleep: I am just not sleeping well lately. Saturday morning I woke up at 3:30 and had the hardest time going back to sleep.
Best moment this week: telling my mom. Although it didn't totally go as planned, because she can't see and the writing on Landon's shirt is super light! She was very excited but definitely in shock, as I called her when I got the 2 negative tests and said that I was sad that I wasn't pregnant! I really was, but didn't know it!
Miss Anything? Margs on Friday at Rancho Grande, sleeping, my patience has gone WAY down with this pregnancy.

Movement: I feel like I might be, although I know it is still too soon.
Food cravings:  I practically downed a whole thing of pasta salad at the lake last weekend. It sounded so good, I literally felt like I couldn't stop. I am starving most of the time. I eat 2 dinners a night and typically the last one is 2 bowls of cereal...I have been absolutely parched ALL. THE. TIME! Other than that no specific cravings or aversions.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mornings, but not nearly as bad as it was with Landon at this point. And the morning sickness just started, so I'm sure it will continue :)
Gender: it's hard to say. I don't have a feeling either way.
Labor Signs: no

Symptoms: Very minor and fleeting bouts of nausea, trips to the restroom, I feel like I already have somewhat of a pooch too! Of course, as mentioned before I am so hungry with this one. I think I wake up in the middle of the night because baby is hungry! I eat plenty, but it seems I'm never full.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: It depends, with Landon I was mostly happy, with this one, the hormones are making me a crazy person. My husband can vouch for that. I will say it has mellowed a bit this past week....I think.
Looking forward to:  Church this weekend. We have missed about 4-5 Sundays now due to the fact that we were either out of town or not able to go for some reason, I am excited to go. I have a lot to pray about and be thankful for since we last went. It always starts out the week on a good note for us. We just always feel more at peace when we go. Of course we are also looking forward to telling the other parents in the coming weeks, and the first doctor's appointment on February 17th.

SORRY FORGOT TO TAKE THE PIC! BAD MOMMY AND DADDY!
How far along? 8 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: not sure
Maternity clothes? No, not wearing any, but it's on the horizon...

Stretch marks?  No
Sleep: No. Waking up at 3 with crazy dreams and it keeps me up.
Best moment this week: We told Mike's mom and stepdad this week. They were very excited!
Miss Anything? Not really
Movement: I don't think so, yet.
Food cravings: Cheerios and whole milk. Gotta be the whole milk. Also chocolate milk and a Bagel Thin with cream cheese. Potato chips and lemonade...together. Fries and ketchup. When we went to a Japanese restaurant the other night for my brothers birthday I was having a VERY hard time with the smells! I ended up eating Miso soup and edamame & ginger to help,..ugh!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Smells & Coffee - iced, hot it all sounds gross...which I guess is a good thing because I'm really not supposed to have it anyway. Sweets of any kind. Even pancakes. This is stark contrast to my pregnancy with Landon. Also, my stomach being empty will make me super sick!! Hungry baby! I'm all about the SAVORY this pregnancy. Grilled cheese, pasta salad, Pizza....I gagged when Mike made chocolate chip cookies the other night.  Totally not myself...not to mention this little text telling my husband about pregnancy. I mean, it is pretty weird.

Gender: Unsure and I don't even care. All I want and pray for is a healthy happy baby.
Labor Signs: No!

Symptoms: Nausea and other minor pregnancy symptoms. I do feel like I am beginning to be more patient with people, so that's good!
Belly Button in or out? In-ish. After Landon it turned into a 1/2 outtie. I know, weird, so it's on its way out again.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I would say lately I've been happy most of the time.
Looking forward to: Doctor's appointment. Let's just say,  I love Liberty Hospital and their staff.  I'm excited to see my OB again and not for an annual checkup!  The last time I told her that we would hopefully be back to see her soon ;) The first appointment is always eventful!

How far along? 10 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 4 lbs.  but that's from the almost 9 week appointment.  I have a 19 month old, who has time to weigh themselves?
Maternity clothes? Not quite yet - teetering on the edge though...

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Bad.  I consistently wake up at 4.  I can't figure out if it's because we have to be out of our house in less than a month with no where to go {I'm lying, we have 2 places to go} or if it's this baby?
Best moment this week: 10 week milestone.  We finally got around to taking the announcement photo for social media/baby book :)

Movement: not yet, I don't think. Still unsure
Food cravings:  Hamburgers drenched in mayo and mustard and ketchup and onions, french fries extra crispy and chocolate milkshakes.  I mean I crave these items all the time.  I'm sure I won't gain any weight this pregnancy.....I don't even want to talk about how many times I've given into this craving...yikes...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mornings, and the extreme point when something isn't in my stomach.  Still not nearly as bad as with Landon
Gender: I've done a couple of old wives tales this week just for fun, they all say girl.  I still think boy though. Mike thinks girl, he also thought girl with Landon.
Labor Signs: no

Symptoms: Starving. That's pretty much it.  Minor nausea.
Belly Button in or out? That's debatable at this point.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy & stressed.  It's the house situation.  One day we are building and the house is supposed to be ready a month before my due date the next day we are not and are looking for a re-sale.  Super stressful! I want somewhere to live, but we WILL NOT settle, so it makes things stressful!
Looking forward to: 12 week checkup to hear the heartbeat and getting this little secret off our chests! Telling my work next week and the world on St. Patrick's Day!

We were moving this week & forgot to take a pic!

How far along? 12 weeks & 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure will find out tomorrow at our 12 week checkup
Maternity clothes? Not yet.

Stretch marks? Nope, hoping it stays this way!
Sleep: Dreams are getting weirder and weirder, guys....
Best moment this week: Well looks like a lot can change in 2 weeks! They started digging for our new home yesterday! Can't wait for the progress!!

Movement: I think I felt it when we were out to eat at Applebee's earlier this week.
Food cravings: McDonald's breakfast and In-A-Tub, I'm kind of on a health kick.....
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.  Leaving work almost every day makes me feel sick.  I pick up Landon at daycare and we listen to the same 4 songs on the way home {Jake and The Neverland Pirates} and I think now my brain correlates being sick with that CD.  So, needless to say, I feel nauseous every time I hear the theme song for Jake....Sorry Jake....

Edited to add : I went to the hospital on Tuesday morning at 2:30am. Landon had a very brief bug (vomiting) on Saturday that he apparently passed to me. He bounced bak really quickly. I, on the other hand got the worst of the worst. It started after dinner on Monday night and went until I finally went in at 2:30 to St. Luke's. Could not keep down ANYTHING. Ice chips wouldn't even stay down. I was exhauseted and drained when I finally made it in there to get some IV fluids & zofran. It helped a lot and I came home at about 5:30 that morning and tried to sleep, it was difficult but I was finally able to when Mike and Landon left. I told my husband I don't ever remember being that sick or dehydrated. Our growing baby is fine. I am praying that Mike doesn't get it before the big move, but it's obviously very contagious.
Gender: N/A don't know.  Don't have a feeling lately.
Labor Signs: no

Symptoms: Tired and hungry - My meal on Tuesday night? A burrito with everything from In-A-Tub and a bowl of cereal...normal.
Belly Button in or out? Out! Wow that was early.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy lately, I am starting to feel better most days.  Dare I say that maybe I'll only be sick the first trimester? I was sick the whole time with Landon. Every. Single. Morning. Nine. Months. Straight.
Looking forward to: Spreading the word, I was able to hear the healthy heartbeat when I was at St. Luke's they wanted to check on the baby because I was dehydrated. But we will also hear it tomorrow!

More updates to come in the following weeks!

{Catch-Up Photo Post}

Oh MY! It's been a while since I posted! In my defense, we have been VERRRRY busy! Not only does a 20 month old keep you busy, but we have sold our house (that closes on March 20th) and we just bought a house! What?! All of this has happened since I last posted.  The whole selling of the house maybe was happening before, but I didn't mention it.

When I say, we "bought" a house, I mean the house is not yet standing....so we are BUILDING!! Are we crazy? I think so, but for some reason, I get butterflies in my stomach thinking about it.  I am so excited! It will be just what we want!

Anyway, they say it will be done in August, fingers crossed! I know that sometimes they say a date and then due to weather or other things it takes longer.  We are hopeful that it will be right on target time wise, because we are going into good weather not starting in August or October and headed into bad weather.  Where do we plan on staying during the process, you may wonder? We will be couch hopping with family :) J/K both houses have beds, so we're good there.  My brother-in-law has 2 empty rooms in his new house so we will be staying there part-time and at my mom's the rest of the time.

I have been so remiss with the postings lately, that I thought I'd do a quick one with lots of pics from the last couple of weeks/weekends! Happy Saturday!
