{17 weeks}

Whew! That was along day! Sunday was soooo busy! I cleaned out the coat closet we have at least 4 bags of stuff going to Goodwill/out to the curb! I'm on a kick of getting rid of stuff! And I like it! We then went out to NFM to get this bed we've had our eye on.  Got it home and wouldn't ya know it? No instructions....thanks NFM. Appreciate it! =) Anyway, Mike and his dad put up our new fan in the master bedroom and then we figured the bed would be so simple, well 3 hours later we're looking at each other like WTH? This does not make sense! We got 'most' of it put together on Sunday. Now there is a storage box with 2 drawers that goes on the bottom of the footboard, that did not get put on until Monday when the company emailed us instructions. We didn't want to mess anything up so we waited to get some help, a bed isn't something I want to guess on.......It looks so good though and even though it's a bigger bed it seems to make the room look bigger! Our old bed is going in the "office" and the office that never gets used is going in the basement. Needless to say it is Tuesday and my normal posts are on Sunday. I finally got around to doing the weekly post!

How far along? 17 weeks. Woot!
Total weight gain/loss: Doc says 3 lbs....I asked because it didn't seem like much & it's completely normal weight gain.  She said I was a tiny little thing to begin with. True.
Maternity clothes? sure. My favorite jeans are my maternity skinnies. Why not be comfortable. My work just made the whole first quarter a jeans day! Yay!!!

Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I wake up once a night, eat some crackers and then go back nighty.
Best moment this week: Hearing Baby's heartbeat.  It's 166 bpm.  Healthy! Always a relief
Miss Anything? I do crave my wine every now and then...and this new chocolate ale everyone is raving about. I could use some of that!

Movement: I'm feeling a little somethin' somethin'
Food cravings: Pretzel M&Ms, grilled cheese, Twizzlers, red peppers, pretzel bread, sweet stuff  too like nutella and banana crepes and oreos, which is strange... I'm normally more of a salty person!
Anything making you queasy or sick: meat, yuck! Strong smelling anything -- like onions, garlic, this cheesy bread we got.
Gender: UGH! I just don't know. I want to say girl just because that's what everyone thinks but I just don't know!!
Labor Signs: NO!

Symptoms: MUCH better, still not a lot of energy. I still feel really tired!
Belly Button in or out? in but it's movin' forward.....yikes! I'll freak out the day it pops out!
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY!!!
Looking forward to: 20 week sono on President's Day.  We get to see baby and find out what the heck it is! Then be off work the whole day!!! Both Mike's mom and my mom are going! I hear this sonogram is very cool!

{16 weeks and a little nursery inspiration board}

Today has been a day of great organization in this household.  I know nesting typically happens towards the end, but I always feel as if I'm in a constant state of "nesting". We have an old vintage chest in the office that was sort of a throw space for random papers/mail! I was looking for our taxes from last year a couple of days ago and decided this would be the weekend that I would organize that.  After breakfast this morning, off to Staples we went with a list of items needed to make this into our organized filing cabinet.  So that was the big project of the day today =)

Next up, sub-basement. But that's Mike's job.....and he's actually excited about it! I love getting organized!!

 I am also trying to get all my crazy nursery ideas under wraps, so I thought I'd make a nursery inspiration board to help me out a bit...  Only 4 more weeks until we know what our little peanut is. We.Can.Not.Wait! These are some things that I have/want/will buy/make in the near future for Baby Bozarth's room =) We got rid of our bed and mattress and dresser that were in there waiting to be redone. I said "Ha, those will never get redone now, not with baby on the way and they take up way too much space" soooo Bulky item pick-up came Wed. morning and happily took them from us.  Well our neighbor took our bed.... We are going to make the office a guest bedroom, because we actually have overnight guests quite often, and move Mike's "office" that never gets used downstairs into the man cave.

Here is a little inspiration board I made on Pinterest.  You will notice it is VERY gender neutral, that's why it's ok to buy stuff now because it will work for little Jack or Jane Bozarth. {PS Those are not our chosen names...you will have to wait another 5 months for that.....

We already own the oversized safety pin {I have loved this for YEARS for my future child's nursery from Ballard designs} but I saw one at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $10!! My mom and I both bought one {she is doing a nursery at her house, too!} Also, I have been in love with that rug too! The Le Poeme rug from Ballard.  Such a precious little object. I copied this from the Ballard website:

The elegant poem rug design was created with words from famed 17th century French fabulist, Jean de La Fontaine. La Cigale et La Fourmi tells the story of an industrious ant, a carefree cricket and the end of summer. Inspired by the fables of Aesop, La Fontaine wrote volumes of simple poems using animals to teach real life lessons.

Now tell me that isn't the cutest for a little baby's room? And what a great conversation/statement piece too! I just love it!

We also already have a little linen canopy that is a creamy off-white color for over the crib that I didn't put on my inspiration board.  As far as nursery goes, that's what we have.  Oh and we have some Mary Carol paint from Nell Hill's in Winter Wheat.  Such a pretty neutral!

If you're a Fbook friend you may have already seen this picture....  Calvin has finally discovered  something strange is going on around here.....he walked into the nursery Saturday morning and was like "WTH?"

IN OTHER NEWS:

I got a message on Facebook the other day from a really sweet person that we went to high school with.  She is a new photographer and is trying to build her portfolio, so she offered to take some maternity pictures in the spring.  We honestly were not going to do maternity pictures, because sometimes I feel like they just are more about your belly than baby, which who cares about my belly besides us, and I already chronicle it on here....... but I said to her "Hey, if they're free, what do we have to lose!? Since we have taken pictures in Weston before, she suggested and I was more than down! We can take some sassy belly pics and then go and eat at Vinyards! Yum! I just love that her pictures aren't staged, they are so natural.  I'm excited!

The important pictures {to us at least are once the baby is here}.  So I asked her to come and take Baby Bozarth's newborn pictures here at the house in July.  We have some great natural lighting in the nursery and she said that that's important, I just love those lifestyle shoots that show you in your comfort zone :  HOME
Thank you Ashley Welliver-McGinnis!! Go see the work she's done so far!

On to the 16 week photos!!

Miss Anything? Wine and beer, I just smell it....
Movement: Good question, I can't be so sure yet....

Anything making you queasy or sick: meat, I'm still so weird about it.  I did have BBQ ribs last night made by my BFF Court, they were yum!

{15 weeks}

Only 5 more weeks until we find out what Baby Bozarth is and get to see him/her again.  I hope this baby will cooperate because we are anxious to find out!

How far along? 15 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 1.5-2 lbs.? Not sure.  My scale is so weird.
Maternity clothes? I wear what's comfortable. Thank goodness for a jean month at work, because I have NO work pants that fit.

Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: Love it
Best moment this week: No nausea from Wednesday on! WHAT!?
Miss Anything? Nope, I'm really starting to enjoy this whole being pregnant thing...

Movement: I don't ever know. I wonder if I will when it really is movement?
Food cravings: Pizza, In-A-Tub, Chipotle guacamole, but who doesn't love that stuff? I still couldn't stand to look at the meat though....I have been eating tons and tons of apples.  I ate a whole little tote bag they sell at Hy-Vee in 1.5 weeks. That's like 12 apples or something! Yogurt, CHOCOLATE MILK! My biggest all time craving! Every night before bed.
Anything making you queasy or sick: meat is really the only thing.  I can't even do chicken or anything. But somehow In-A-Tub meat does not gross me out. Applebee's is a big turn off now too.  Not sure why? The oriental chicken salad used to be my favorite.  Nevermore! The chicken is so gross looking. The smell of onions will do it now too.
Gender: Who ever knows? 5 more weeks!
Labor Signs: Hell to the no

Symptoms: NO NAUSEA! YEAH! Still slightly tired although I'm gaining energy.  We got KU tix for Chistmas from my dad.  It's a late game in Lawrence at 8:30.  I had to back out.  By the time it starts it's almost my bed time..... ha
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! I'm in such a great mood!
Looking forward to: Seeing Baby B again for sure.  Our next Dr. appt.  Hearing heartbeat again, just everything.

In other news:

So I am finally feeling the 2nd trimester love from Baby Bozarth, I thought this day would never come! I have not been nauseous now for 3 whole days!! I have taken no medicine and I feel like such a champ!

On Friday,  I was going through all my phone pics from way back.  Let me just say, Mike would be so embarrassed if he knew this was on here, but frankly, I don't care.  He's a wonderful husband and should be so proud of it.

I know a lot of girls claim that their husband is the best and all of this, but mine really is. Not that it's a competition or anything.  He just always seems to know the right thing to say to make me smile and by the way gives great advice.  In my opinion, we have an awesome strong bond & I thank God every day for my rock.

Enough with the sap. Right? Seriously though, he's pretty awesome!

Anyhow, I came across this text message from November 8.  This would have been a little over a week after we found out that there was a little human growing inside of me.  I believe I was still in shock and slightly emotional. They joys of pregnancy hormones. But ya know those days where you just need something sweet said to you? This was quite obviously one of them....I was at work and really missing my husband.

See what I mean....?
 This one is from the other night. We were going to dinner and we - since I have been pregnant - have been craving the same things.  What sounds good to me will always sound good to him. That, or he's just being sweet. He's been having those "sympathy cravings" and I think it really exists because "What to Expect When Expecting" talks about it...or maybe that's sympathy pains. Oh well!

So those are some sweet little texts from our lives.

In other news, my BFF in Lincoln, NE Amanda, (who by the way, I want to steal her son and make him my own he so stinkin' cute!) texted me about a little something I should be expecting in the mail.  Can I just say, she is one of the most thoughtful people.  For every occasion, she sends a card and is genuinely happy for you whatever the reason may be!

So I made Mike go out and check the mail on Thursday night at about 10pm.  Ya know because who really checks their mail anymore? Not us, but maybe twice a week. It's just so boring. Until you get a gift from a great friend!! She sent me a book she said she read and laughed about before and after little Gavin was born.

I just started reading this weekend and it seems to have a lot of real info in it. Like what you really need, not all the stuff people say you will need. The first story was one of the writer's friends, they went completely overboard and registered for/bought everything that everyone said they needed.  They could barely move around in their own home. They had a bassinet, a side bed sleeper thing and a crib, the pediatrician made a point to say, you DON'T need all of this.  We're planning on starting Baby B out in the crib, because that's where we want her/him to eventually be which was exactly the advice from the book.  Why tease them from the beginning by having them sleep in our room? We decided to way minimize our registry when the time comes to really start thinking about all of the baby stuff, because it can add up to clutter QUICK! I have actually already started a couple of registries online for some things we already know we want.  Mainly to have a master list of things we will eventually need. One thing that we love and will be of much use is the stroller that we registered for.  It's a classic black, which can be used for baby# 1 & #2 and possibly #3. We aren't going to clutter things up by getting a pink one, then a blue one, then maybe a purple one depending on the sex of the baby.  I like to keep it simple.  We want a nice, high quality stroller that can be used through all the Bozarth kids regardless of sex.

Here's the book if at all interested........................ =)

{13 weeks}

Happy New Year! I copied the "Happy New Year" idea on my chalkboard from one I saw on Pinterest.  Isn't it cute? Well this weekend for weekly picture time, I didn't feel like getting out of my comfy pjs that Mike got me for Christmas, so I didn't.  I had kind of a rough night last night.  I obviously didn't drink, except for some Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice, but at about 12:05 am 1/1/12 I was sicker than a dog in our friends bathroom.  I was so proud that I made it through the whole day yesterday without getting sick.  Baby B said "You spoke too soon, mama". UGHHH! Then first thing this morning too! Fun! We hung out with another couple Cory and Amanda, she is also pregnant, so as you already know we were both just boring as all get out balls of energy last night.  We watched Something Borrowed and drank virgin sangrias while the boys drank actual alcohol, played beer pong, and smoked cigars, at about midnight they all came downstairs and brought noisemakers and hats, we poured our glasses of sparkling grape juice and did a cheers to 2012.  THE YEAR OF THE BABIES! Then, Amanda and I turned back on our movie, then Mike and I went to sleep. =) Perfect night for me at least!
