{two weeks of Harper Kate}

This little lady has now been around for 2 whole weeks! I can't believe how quickly time flies! It feels like yesterday we were snuggling our little lady in the hospital & now it is time for my husband to go back to work tomorrow. I will miss him during the day so much!

Here are some more photos from the last week. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen all of these. I promise I don't plan to chronicle Every. Single. Week. But so much changes in the first 2 weeks and we have been BUSY!!

She is already so much more awake than she was last week. She is definetly more fussy and wants to be held. She is easy to get calmed down when she is crying though.   Landon is loving his little sister. When he gets in trouble or when we tell him "No" he says "Shh Harper Kate's seepin'" to try to change the subject from him getting in trouble. He snuggles her every chance he gets and we were trying to keep them apart for a while because we thought Landon was sick. Turns out it was allergies getting him down.

This was the first outfit I bought for Baby Bozarth #2 after I found out I was pregnant. It would work for a boy or girl, but look how cute it is on my girl 😘

Landon helped his daddy put together the new stools for the kitchen counter. And then had breakfast on them the next morning.

Sleeping beauty

Homemade pancakes or 'cancakes' as my little terror calls them for breakfast on Sunday.

He said he wanted to go potty and then chucked my phone in it 5 minutes later...#YoureInTimeOutForever

Our neighbors brought us some beautiful mums for our front porch as a little welcome to the neighborhood gift. We LOVE our neighborhood!

Before the big MNF Chiefs WIN!

I will never get over these little booties. She will probably wear them every single day this fall/winter :)

Birth Story up next! So exciting!

{one week of Harper Kate}

Happy First OFFICIAL day of Fall & 1 week birthday to our sweetest Harper Kate! What better reasons to celebrate?

I can't believe our newest little love has already been here for one whole week. Officially, at 6:42 this evening. How did we ever get along without her?

My husband took 2 weeks off of work after the births of both of our babies, so we have been snuggling as a family in our bed, enjoying our visitors and doing stuff around the house {more on that later}.

Here is our first week with the prettiest girl in the whole wide world in pictures. She is such a calm, tiny, sleepy, still in a little bitty ball blessing and I am trying to savor every moment, even the new baby smell which goes away all too quickly. Numerous times I have looked at both babies and thought to myself, "How blessed are we to have 2 perfect angels to care for?"

I am working on a birth story post too, because I am a fan and love to re-live the moments that we met our offspring for the first time.

Her favorite thing to do right now is definetly sleep, and obviously this 0-9 month sleeper is WAAY too big!

Hope you enjoyed all the snaps from the past week! I can't wait to enjoy another week with my whole family before my hubby goes back to work and I'm left with 2 kids! Pray for me!

In other news, Harper and Landon's rooms are finally complete! What I mean is we finally got all their pictures hung in their rooms and I can't wait to reveal! Both rooms turned out exactly as I had pictured! Don't you love it when that happens?

We are also having the rest of our furniture {couch and barstools} delivered today and tomorrow. I should be doing a mini home tour soon!

Oh, and a public service announcement in honor of FALL! Hocus Pocus has been on TV lately, we are recording it tonight and watching it tomorrow!

{39 weeks + 2 days}

How far along? 39 weeks - could this be the last update?!
Total weight gain/loss: OK back up to 36 lbs. I guess the doctor was a little off last visit...darn.
Maternity clothes?  No, can't you tell? Thank Heaven for long camis at a time like this! People at Ikea were looking at me like I was a freak of nature. At this point I'm trying to walk her out!!
Stretch marks? no
Sleep: It's not the greatest but I had better get used to it.
Best moment this week: My mother took some awesome last minute maternity photos on Sunday, and I love them! Here is a sneak peek but I share more in this blogpost!

We are still gradually getting settled into our new home. We have been to numerous stores and keep finding things we still need. We finally got our sod laid this past week, so my husband has been diligently watering the sh*% out of it!

I also made a trip out to Ikea with my mother and mother-in-law while my husband worked on Saturday. Needless to say he has been and will keep being busy putting together stuff for the house. Here's what we purchased: kitchen table and 6 chairs including 2 covers for the end chairs, a dresser for our room, 2 nightstands for our room, a shelf for our cable box to go on, 4 wall bookshelves for the kids rooms & the playroom, a Ranarp pendant light for over the sink and one for over the kitchen table {we did builders grade and then I spotted ones I LOVED online at Ikea} I bought the last Ranarp small pendant light there!!

Oh and I can't forget their pear sparkling cider and their famous cinnamon rolls which we ate before church on Sunday as a family at our new kitchen table! I would also like to add my father-in-law FIXED OUR KEURIG! So it is up and running praise The Lord! That was a rough couple of days!

My husband worked so hard on Saturday night to get the table done and I have to say, it could not be more perfect in our little breakfast nook! That man is amazing!

Good job babe! It's so light and breezy in our kitchen! He has so much patience which you sort of have to with Ikea instructions {aka no words :)} if you are curious this is the Ingatorp table with the Ingasole chairs {4} and the chairs on the end are the Henriksdal chairs with the linen cover. It is Velcro and comes off for washing! Perfect for families with kids!

Last night he finished the Hemnes dresser which we bought for our bedroom under the TV and one of the matching 2 drawer end tables that we're using as nightstands. I asked if I could help but he said for me to just relax & so that's exactly what I'm doing with a glass of pear sparkling cider :)

Missing anything? Maybe being able to paint my toenails? I don't love pedicures, only because my feet are so ticklish, I find myself laughing awkwardly during them. But now I literally can't reach my toes. I got gel on my fingers on Friday and was planning to get a pedicure on Saturday with my mom but Ikea got in the way.
Movement: Yes, but she is definetly running out of room as witnessed in the last sonogram.
Food cravings: Ikea's pear sparkling cider and I bought a case of LaCroix Coconut and have been drinking that like CRAZY!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: We were both convinced that last night we were going to the hospital. I timed my contractions and they were pretty consistently 5 minutes a part for almost 2 hours. I did not want to go in and then be sent home though so I put my hair up, took a jacuzzi bath and listened to some calming music and wouldn't you know if, they went away... :(
Belly Button in or out? out
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! We are ready for our little girl whenever she decides it's right for her to come! We feel so blessed to be settled into our new home! I plan to do a home tour once she arrives too!
Looking forward to: This week and seeing how it all will transpire. I sort of like the unknown as far as this goes. I am hoping we don't have to induce, but we did schedule it for next Monday 9/22. I will be 40 weeks 1 day. I got a little emotional when scheduling it for some reason. But that's pretty much every day now :)

{maternity photos}

Oh, the 2nd born child! We have yet to install her car seat into either of our cars, the pictures in her room are not hung, but we kind of have an excuse there (moving). I will say, her hospital bag is officially packed - one of my favorite things to do and I have a post planned this week for that. I would like to add that I am now over 39 weeks. Translation=any day now.

With Landon I followed all the rules of swelling after 36 weeks {no maternity photos after then}, his car seat was installed LONG before I went into labor, his nursery was done by that time as well.

Luckily, I haven't swollen in the face AS much as I did with Landon...yet. I had my mother come over and in about 20 minutes she got some cute pics so that we can remember this time when I was pregnant with baby girl.

My husband actually had the idea. He said to me one day "Kailey, you really need to take some pictures to commemorate your pregnancy with her" to which I said "I do, selfies...." Oh those don't count? He said he didn't think it was fair that with Landon, I had 2 separate maternity sessions and still had done none with her.

She should feel just as special. It got me thinking and then moving got in the way. I was hoping I would make it past 39 weeks so we could take some photos at our new home. More specifically in our new {amazing} bed!

Landon has a thing with pulling on his nipples lately...I don't know....if we tell him to stop he says "My dipples!". Ooookkkkaaayy.?

I guess they'll do for an impromptu Sunday session with my mom...just kidding she did amazing right?? I'm so lucky to have her photography skills for times like this & can't wait to frame a couple of these :)

{38 weeks}

How far along? 38 weeks! So close!
Total weight gain/loss: 2 lbs since last week. He said I'm in the 75% for weight gain! Yikes! Hopefully it comes off as quickly as I put it on....we also had a sonogram today to do a weight check for her. They are measuring her at 7.14 lbs. she's on pace to be over 8 lbs....
Maternity clothes? Ok so the fact that I'm not wearing maternity clothes is beginning to get a little difficult to work with....Fact: I wore my husbands pool/beach tank top yesterday with a tank that used to be a tank but that miraculously turned into a sports bra with my belly underneath. #PregnantGirlProblems

Stretch marks? no

Sleep: Amazing! Something turned & sleep has been awesome! Maybe it's the fact that Landon has been sleeping SO well in his big boy bed as evidenced by the capture from Saturday morning and we finally feel somewhat settled into our new home, that might I add I think I said 50 times to my husband "I just love this house, it's absolutely PERFECT!!!" this weekend. I am glad even with all the problems that we waited for exactly what we wanted!

Best moment this week: moving into our house of course!
Miss Anything? My best friend brought me some alcohol removed wine this weekend that seriously went down like water. I cannot wait to have some fall beers and wine, in moderation of course because I will be breast feeding.
Movement: Yes, but she is slowing down. I feel like I've been pregnant forever but I know I will miss being pregnant soon.... I saw this on Pinterest today and couldn't help but laugh..

Food cravings: 7 layer dip from our mini moving/Chiefs party this weekend. There's not too much room in this girl for much food lately but I find myself hungry all the time!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Brushing my teeth.
Gender: Girl!
Symptoms: Pregnancy waddle, lower back and just random pains everywhere.
Belly Button in or out? out.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! So excited to have the kids rooms in order and am ready for baby girl any time now! We did some serious moving this weekend. I can't believe what all can get done when you have the help of your friends and family. They did so awesome! They all know we are on a time crunch here :) here are some random snaps from over the weekend.

Dreaming of winter nights in front of the fireplace snuggled up with our little family.

Landon's big boy bed that he's doing so well in, room tour to come soon!

Roh roh! Landon climbing into sisters bed. This could be bad...

My Sarurday night in bed with my boys, and the Ikea catalog.

Some little fall decorations came out this weekend.

Our amazingly comfy new bed!

This child seriously is so HAPPY to have a space that he can run circles in! The first night, he was running around screaming out of pure excitement - I know he knows that this is our new home. Makes me so happy :)
Looking forward to: The last couple weeks as a family of 3 and getting totally settled into our new abode :) Today we were asked if I want to be induced as I can as early as next weekend & I am a big believer in not inducing, unless if get over 40 weeks! I say let the baby come on it's own if you can!
